Interclub challenge

Last weekend myself & Paul were intered in the Lr4x4 forum's interclub challenge competing for CSW.

I'd spent weeks preping Baby & it all paid off.

The Saturday was run on an individual bassis with your score going towards the team score. There were 8 timed special stages with 2 punches & a further 24 punches scattered around. We got 2xfastest times 2x seconds 1x 3rd 2x 4th & 1x 10th! (not sure what happend there!?) as well as all 40 punches. Only one other car got punch 32, it was a little hard!!!! That gave us the highest score on the saturday.

Saturday night we had 2 night stages. We were 1st through ns2 & got a fairly good time but had to winch through a horrible smelly hole, this unfortunately cleared it out & everyone else drove through! Ns1 was a bit harder with more winching & by the time we did it had lost a small tree that everyone before was winching off, so that lost a bit of time as Paul couldn't find anouther tree.......... in the woods!! lol

Sunday was a team event with 5 stages & a dnf (did not finish) of 1 hour to get ALL 5 cars through & collect 5 punches each. Sound easy? We found it very frustrating with a fair bit of waiting on stage. Only 2 teams managed to get all 5 cars through all 5 stages within the time, CSW was one of them.

Csw won overall with a margin or 2000points (not that much!). We were well chuffed & picked up some nice prizes, the best being a tyre compressor. I could have bought several with what it cost me in prep, repairs & entry fee. But thats not what it's all about.

CSW still need Marshals for the De'cider. If you don't fancy that you could just come to watch.
