My amazing 235-70-16 Recip Trial tyres on Disco 2 steel rims are for sale on ebay at the moment.

The tyres are one of the best mud patterns available and give much better grip than AT's on mud, sand or grass.

Although they are a little noisier than AT patterns they handle really well both on and off tarmac.

Ever since I've had a Defender I've been used to acknowledging other Defender drivers with a wave - its like a, relatively, exclusive club and its kinda nice.

For anyone who has a soft spot for the Defender.

Dear all

My camper makes the 300tdi Defender 130 struggle a bit so to increase performance I've put on a large Allisport intercooler and tweeked the pump needle as recommended by the supplier.

Prior to doing the work I took the truck for a couple of timed runs in 4th gear it accellerated from 30mph to 50mph in 20.2 secs and in 3rd gear this took 11.2 seconds.

Thanks for organising a great trial at Crossways - certainly a site with great potential. Hopefully as we kept our dogs under close supervision they will relax the dog ban at the site - Ben had a great time!

Thanks also for the Easter eggs, I'm sure I would have had to share them with Jan regardless of her superb result!

My truck got through its MOT yesterday so Jan and I will be able to do the trial this Sunday. I've had to put a new steering box on and the steering now feels much less lively - it will be interesting to see how it feels on the sections but I cant say I like it that much on the road!
