First Trial of the year

Just a quick note to thank Ron, Mike and Rich for setting up the trial at Tincleton today.

Portesham Trial Sun 5th June

Quick line to say thanks to Ron, Phil and Mike W for setting up such a demanding course at Portesham this Sunday! I just followed them round putting the numbers on so I don't take any credit.

Perhaps I'm missing something...

I know Defenders, particularly the newer one's, fetch top dollar, but is this one a little steep, or am I out of touch again?

So, why does mine stop at the sniff of a little Crossways puddle....?

Haha!

Another Rover V8...

The wife says I'm a big kid and nobody needs two Rovers with large capacity V8 motors.

Wrong!!!!

OK, it's badged as an MG, and the motor was built by Ford, but I think it counts!

Ladies day / Tyro

I have three lovely ladies - Oh Yes! Count them boys! - who want to come on the Ladies day and Tyro. Who should I be asking about times and details?

Cheers,

Jon

April trial

Rog's post indicates the trial is from 1100 to 1700 on Sunday 4th April, so an hour later than normal - is that right or am I being dim again....?

FoDRoW website is down. Sorry!

Posted in

I know quite a few of you are FoDRoW members too, so I thought I would just let you know the FoDRoW website has crashed and the webmaster is away until 18th August. Hopefully it'll be up and running again early next week.

Apologies to all for any inconvenience this causes.

Best regards,

Blummin' Range Rovers!

Everybody who stayed until the end at Knitson will have seen that my Rangie, having performed fine all day, point blank refused to start after the last section. Ron Hogg (thanks mate!) towed me off site and up to the bus stop on the main Swanage road, where the nice man from the AA came and looked after an hour sat watching the traffic.

Scrappage Scheme

We were talking to the franchised Volvo dealer in Ferndown yesterday and he offered me £6000 under the scrappage scheme for my Rangie ('88 Classic with 165K on the clock) against a brand spanking new XC90, with only £24,500 left to pay.
