ABS/traction control

Just a small note that the ABS is absolutely useless on black ice. If all four wheels lock up the brakes have no idea which to release.

Happy New Snowy Year to everyone

Weather permitting see you all on Saturday

I don't have either but

I don't have either but today, Saturday, We've been up and down the little back roads around Berwick st John, Fovant, Salisbury & the New Forest. No problems anywhere, sheet ice, compacted and fresh snow. Up and down hills. We even ended up pulling a Rover 75 up the hill from Fritham lake, boy was he pleased to see us.

Robin

I dont have the benefit, or otherwise, of ABS on my Defender - but I have been out in her today and she was climbing and decending all the hills I tried with no problems. Other 4x4's were avoiding some of the climbs, or coming to grief, what a brilliant vehicle! The Maxigrips also seemed to work really well in the conditions.

ABS & T.C.

I have both and it can be bloody scary !,I was out doing Wessex 4x4 response things the other night and found that the best way was on downhill sections was in 1st gear high range with an imaginary egg between my foot and the brake pedal !! didn't experience any problems at all, passenger (nurse) also impressed by land Rovers

Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight
