Ladies Day will be taking place at the Tincleton site on Saturday 14th August from 10-4.30pm and I now need to firm the numbers up. For those of you unfamiliar with the event, it's a day specifically for lady drivers with or without previous off roading experience designed to give you a taster of what we do. You do not need your own landrover although if you wish to bring this, please feel free - we have persuaded some of the guys to let us borrow their vehicles for the day!!! There will be a large, flattish dust trail to follow, where you'll get used to the truck, changing gears etc, then moving onto a hilly trail where you will be able to practise going up and down steep inclines/declines. In addition, we'll most likely set out a garage section and few trial sections for good measure.
I would reitterate this is just as suitable for those who have never driven a 4x4 before or for those of you that have had some experience. You'll be given lots of advice and guidance if you need it and the experienced guys will soon have you whizzing about. Please don't feel shy, come and give it a go - bring a friend too.
If you or your partner are a member of the club the cost will be £20 for the event, for non members we will need to charge a further £3 to make them temporary members for the day although I will need their details before the event to ensure the paperwork is sorted.
