Hi all,
finally managed to acquire my filter housing so the snorkel should be fully up and running for Somerly this weekend...
However, does anyone have any advice on how best to waterproof a V8???

Make sure the ht leads are spotlessly clean, spraying them with wd40 attracts dirt which doesn't help.
Take the dizzy cap off when it's warm & put a small bead of silicon inside the lip & let it nearly fully cure so it doesn't stick when you put it back on but soft enought to bed in.
Most water will travel up the fan belt when the bottom pully is sat in water, this is then perfectly deposited onto the dizzy! Make up a simple gaurd that covers the top pully (water pump?)
I had v8's that were perfectly happy in water using these tips.
